Where is Whitby

Located on the doorstep of Mundijong’s historic town site in Perth’s south east within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, Whitby’s 500 hectare landholding will be transformed over the next 12 years into the region’s new residential, community and economic heart. Whitby, the largest development within the Mundijong-Whitby district structure plan area, is located 6.5kms south of Byford, 14kms south of Armadale and 40 minutes to Perth’s Central Business District.

How do I get to Whitby?

Whitby is bound by Keirnan Street, Norman Road, Soldiers Road and South West Highway. The main entry to the display village and sales centre is located off Keirnan Street which can be accessed either by South West Highway or Soldiers Road.

What parks and recreation spaces will Whitby have?

A variety of public open space will be provided in Whitby from the native bush land with its meandering bush paths to full size playing fields & ovals and variety of play spaces catering for children of all ages and their parents. A network of tree lined streets and boulevards will act as a way finders to connect you to the best natural and built attractions the new community has to offer.

What are the range of lot sizes at Whitby?

Whitby will provide a wide range of lot sizes through out the Estate, helping you find your ideal lot for your dream home within your budget. The development will offer lot sizes in excess of 1,200m2 in future stages bordering bushland ranging down to 300m2 lots around the future activity centre and district shopping centre.

Are there any schools planned for Whitby?

Two schools currently operate within the district area, Court Grammar School and Mundijong Primary School. Whitby's population will also create the need for future education facilities with the State Government assigning sites for two primary schools, a high school and a TAFE within the Whitby development. There are plans for a district shopping centre that is likely to include two discount department stores a supermarket and up to 75 specialty retail stores.  This centre will service not only Whitby but future residential estates within the Mundijong-Whitby District. The district centre will assist the community to expand by providing employment opportunities and essential services to the local community.

Do you provide a landscaping and fencing bonus?

Within the purchase price of your lot we include boundary Colorbond fencing to your property and a starter package for your front landscaping to help kick start the garden of your dreams. The starter package includes reticulation with an automatic controller, turf and mulched garden beds with a variety of plants.

Why are there design guidelines?

Carefully thought-out simple design guidelines will help you design your dream home ensuring a consistent high quality modern streetscape influenced by the local heritage of the Mundijong area. The intention of the guidelines is to explain the covenant registered to individual lots, and are intended to maximize and protect the value of your investment by complimenting the surroundings and enhancing the quality of the community as a whole.
